INVESTING COFFEE CLUB will next occur Tuesday, November 15 from 9:30-10:30am in Prescott. This free monthly meeting is an informal gathering, discussing current events, the economy and investing in a relaxed, informal setting. Hosted by Joe Allen, Wealth Advisor with Lane Brothers Investment Counsel, these meetings occur the third Tuesday of each month at Third Shot Coffee at the Prescott Gateway Mall. Includes a cup of joe, courtesy of Joe. Meetings are free, but RSVPs are appreciated. SENIOR CONNECTION SPEAKERS BUREAU PRESENTATIONS These non-commercial educational talks are given by Senior Connection Members on topics of interest and concern to Seniors and Caregivers. We offer live presentations twice a month in Prescott. We also videotape the live presentations, which are then uploaded to our website, generally within 24 hours, to be viewed "On Demand" from the comfort and convenience of your home or office. You can find the current "Featured Video" as well as previous talks via our website. Prescott Area Shelter Services (PASS) is a nonprofit organization that provides emergency shelter, advocacy, and support services to victims of domestic violence and their families in Yavapai County, Arizona. The organization’s mission is to empower survivors of domestic violence by providing them with a safe and supportive environment in which to heal and rebuild their lives. PASS offers a range of services to its clients, including a 24-hour crisis hotline, emergency shelter, individual and group counseling, legal advocacy, and case management. People Who Care is a non-profit organization that utilizes volunteers to provide caring, non-medical assistance to adults who are no longer able to drive due to age-related limitations. The volunteer-based assistance allows enrolled Neighbors to remain independent in their own homes and communities. We improve access to healthcare, food, and essential appointments and replace social isolation with meaningful relationships. We are always seeking volunteers who believe in our mission & are willing to donate their time to improve the lives of others. Our monthly volunteer orientation meetings will be held on the 3rd Wednesday of each month, from 1:30 – 3:30 pm in our Prescott office, 1580 Plaza West Drive.    Therefore, in addition to the Caregiver Connection newsletter, I am also pleased to make available to you several valuable resources via the “Senior Connection website.” This web-based one-stop Educational and Information center for Caregivers and Seniors is designed to save you time and money, as well as your sanity.

   The Resources Directory contains contact information for hundreds of local nonprofit, government and commercial agencies that provide helpful products and services to ease the life of caregivers. 
   Updated weekly, this searchable database will save you literally hundreds of research hours and connect you with nonprofit, government and commercial agencies that can help with every aspect of being a caregiver. 
   Categories include areas such as assisted living and skilled nursing facilities, in-home care providers, transportation, meal preparation and delivery, and financial assistance. 
   A search on one or more keywords results in all of the companies that provide a particular product or service. You can then print out the Profile of each agency that is of interest to you.

The Informational Articles section contains articles on a wide variety of topics relating to aging. The articles are short and sweet, yet go directly to the heart of the matter of some of the most sensitive issues surrounding our fears and frustrations as caregivers.
